Beit Mazia, 18 Mesilat Yesharim, Jerusalem
Journalists talk about Jerusalem:
Does Jerusalem’s status as a major symbol in Israeli political discourse enable coverage that takes a broad view of the city, and is it possible to include several narratives in the city’s coverage?
To what extent do the city and its residents occupy a dominant place in media coverage, and how does their story relate to the national story?
This year Ir Amim will dedicate its annual Jerusalem Day event to a panel discussion with prominent Israeli journalists speaking to their perspectives on Jerusalem and the city’s media coverage.
The artistic portion of the evening will consist of spoken word performances.
Participants:
Ohad Hemo, Channel 2 News
Nir Hasson, Haaretz
Yael Freidson, Yediot Aharonot and Ynet
Amnon Lord, Makor Rishon
Spoken word:
Yonatan Blumenfeld, Yonatan Kunda, Pedro Grass
The event starts at 7:30 PM, and the program will begin at 8:00 PM. The event will be held in Hebrew.
